Professor David E. Bloom, Ph.D. is an American author, professor, economist, and demographer. He is Professor of Economics and Demography at the Harvard School of Public Health, and director of the Program on the Global Demography of Aging . His comments will be seized upon by the crisis rhetoric commentators, but his approach of “well before the event” is similar in line to the Kaspanz viewpoint . Make haste slowly, there is no need to panic, and years of time, many policy levers available and the status quo is a very viable option
