How much income (money) do you need for retirement?

Always interesting topic , personal circumstance and expectations are so different.

At 65, NZ Superannuation provides the  safety platform, about $40,000 before tax  (yes NZ Super is taxed) for a couple, thats about  $800 each per fortnight.

Rule of thumb another $20,000 regular income  each year,  till death would be nice .  Every $10,000 pa added, gives you more choice etc.

Will yourinvestments, savings, work income  provide that and for how long?
