Mercer 2020 Pension schemes-world wide. Comparative analysis

This comparative report on global pension schemes places NZ 10th “A system that has a sound structure, with many good features, but has some areas
for improvement that differentiates it from an A-grade system”.

Caution is suggested when evaluating the substance of this paper, as the report itself states they are not comparing apples with apples, but weighting various elements from their perceptions and research. However despite this caution, its good to see this comparative analysis occur, hoping Pension Reform and or the Retirement Commissioner will pick this up, evaluate its finding from a NZ perspective, and see what we can learn or implement from others.
