Policy Shambles from Act Party

WHAT A POLICY SHAMBLES FROM ACT PARTY

On the  24 February 2022  following a Kaspanz query,  Act officials advised us they don’t support raising the age of entitlement to NZ Super from 65yrs. See e-mail below.

On May 9, 2022, a sudden  change took place,  headline  ACT Party alternative budget would raise super age, slash taxes and future spending.

The Act policy is  now  to raising the age of entitlement to 67. Under the proposed plan the superannuation age would lift to 67, moving two months every year from 2023 onwards.

Acts policy on the hoof approach is typical of a shoot from the Hip stance , from this right-wing party. Their retirement income policy does nothing for consumers.

Be wary!

Hi Alec

The answer to your question is that we don’t support raising the age of superannuation.

I don’t think the policy is on the website.  I will have a discussion with the team about this information not being available and see what I can do to fix this. Thank you for taking the time to reach out.
