Working past 65: Things to consider

Kaspanz is of the view only the well- educated get realistic opportunities to work past 65.

Those  trying to find work are usually compelled to do so, due to inadequate savings to  maintain  a reasonable lifestyle. Lifelong poor incomes and the ravages of marriage breakups,  poor decisions and bad luck contributing  to a lack of funds.

Many newspaper articles on the topic, highlight an individual who has found meaningful work post 65, and paint a Rosy glow, about post 65 work opportunity. Be cautious of such a tone, yes its good to hear positive stories, but do they reflect the every day experience of most New Zealanders?

The claim we are living longer, and are  more healthy is frequently made. Research is saying the  longevity trend upwards  is stalling, and  the  actual ” quality of life” in the last 10 years is a huge issue for many.

Be very wary of finding work post 65 years!
